Central Iowa Symphony has teamed with ISU, Town & Gown, AIOFA and the Iowa State Center to bring Ralph Votapek for a week-long Artist-in-Residence in Ames. The CIS performance is one of three concerts that Votapek will perform plus master's classes at ISU, Drake University and Graceland University.

About
Ralph Votapek
He is winner of the prestigious Naumburg Award and Gold
Medalist in the first Van Cliburn International Piano
Competition. He has made hundreds of appearances with
major American orchestras as well as numerous concerto and
recital appearances abroad. He has made a special commitment to
Latin America, where he has toured every other year for three
decades.
He began his musical education at age nine, when he enrolled in the Wisconsin Conservatory. He continued his studies at Northwestern University and subsequently attended the Manhattan School of Music and The Juilliard School. He presently serves as Artist-in-Residence at Michigan State University in East Lansing.
